Justin Bieber is known to have an elaborate collection of tattoos dedicated to all his varied interests. But it looks like his new tattoo might be the most valuable one of all for the “Believe” singer.
According to celebrity tattoo artist Keith Bang Bang McCurdy, proprietor of Bang Bang Tattoos, New York City, the singer had a late night tattoo session. “Justin called me around 10:30 pm last night and asked if I could open up the shop. We are both so busy, and our schedules are pretty hectic, so I opened up the shop, and he came in around 4:00 a.m.”, McCurdy said.
The famous tattoo artist known for creating marvelous tattoos pieces for Rihanna, Adele and Katy Perry to name a few of his celebrity clients. He said that Justin wanted an eye tattoo that would represent his mother.
“The first time I tattooed him, we were playing with a couple ideas,” McCurdy explained. “This time, he knew exactly what he wanted. He knew exactly where it was going to go, and he just let me do the design.”
“So I went in and pulled up a couple of options of high resolution photography, and Justin chose a female eye that best represented what he was looking for,” McCurdy revealed. “I did the tattoo in black and white, because it complimented his other tattoos. I wanted it to compliment him, and not be a distraction from him.”
The “Girl Friend” singer has a vast collection of tattoos that was recently converted into a half sleeve tattoo, joining up each tattoo into one big piece. His new eye tattoo is found above his Believe tattoo. His new inking represents his mothers watchful eye. “He always wants to think of his mom. He’s like the rest of us: We’re all mama’s boys.,” said McCurdy.
