It’s hard to believe that Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp is turning 50 years old. That is a huge milestone, not many artists are still so hugely popular at this age. So what will Johnny Depp do to commemorate his 50th birthday? Well, it is rumored that he will give himself a tattoo.
Just like a lot of tattoo loving celebrities, Depp has more than a dozen tattoos of his own, many of which signifying important events and persons in his life. To name a few: Cherokee Indian chief to pay tribute to his Native American Heritage which is located at this right bicep, his mother name “Betty Sue” inked on his left bicep, his daughters name “Lily-Rose” found directly over his heart, his son name “Jack” inscribed with a sparrow flying over water, and who wouldn’t know the ribbon reading “Wino Forever” which was originally “Winona Forever”, he had it altered after his split up with Winona Ryder.
Tattoos aren’t the only way the 21 Jump Street heartthrob makes a memoir for himself, he also have some markings on his left arm, which he scratched into his skin using a knife. The scars are a way to remind him of some things that have happened, both bad and good.
Johnny has said: “My body is a journal in a way. It’s like what sailors used to do, where every tattoo meant something, a specific time in your life when you make a mark on yourself, whether you do it to yourself with a knife or with a professional tattoo artist.”
